Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 18 August 2026.

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Laddro Digital UG (haftungsbeschränkt) when you use Laddro. By creating an account, signing in, or using any part of Laddro, you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use Laddro.

We have written these Terms in plain English. Where the law requires particular wording, we use it. If something is unclear, write to [email protected].

Laddro Digital UG (haftungsbeschränkt) Belziger Str. 69 to 71 10823 Berlin, Germany Handelsregister: HRB 285589 B, Amtsgericht Charlottenburg Managing Director: Oussama Bentaib Email: [email protected]

Our Privacy Policy forms part of these Terms and is incorporated by reference.

To use Laddro you must be at least 16 years old. If you are between 16 and 18 you confirm that a parent or legal guardian agrees to your use of the service. You must have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement and must not be barred from using the service under any law that applies to you.

Laddro is a career document platform. Depending on the surface you use, it includes:

  • A resume and CV builder, and a guided builder that asks structured questions and drafts content with you.
  • A cover letter builder, including AI assisted generation.
  • A tailoring flow that adapts an existing resume to a job description.
  • A job application tracker.
  • Online resumes: publishing a resume as a public web page, with a contact form, review links and visitor statistics. Section 8 sets out the rules for these.
  • A community feed inside the application. Section 9 applies.
  • A LinkedIn profile generator.
  • A template library, resume and cover letter examples, and career articles.
  • Account management: personal details, security, connected sign in methods, language, currency, appearance, notifications, billing and account deletion.
  • A public Career API and a Developer Console, and the ability to connect your account to an outside AI assistant. Section 11 applies.
  • Mobile applications for iOS and Android, when they are released.

We may change, add to or withdraw features. Where a change materially reduces what you have paid for, Section 10.7 applies.

You can sign in with a magic link sent to your email address, or with a connected Google, Apple, LinkedIn or Microsoft account, in which case we receive basic profile information such as your name and email address from that provider. You may connect and disconnect providers in your account settings, as long as one working sign in method remains.

You can use parts of Laddro as a guest without an account. Guest work is stored in your browser and is not saved to our servers. To keep your work, to buy anything, or to use AI features, you need an account.

You agree to give accurate information and keep it current, to keep your sign in methods and any API keys confidential, to tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else has reached your account, and not to create multiple accounts in order to obtain free credits, free downloads or referral rewards more than once.

You are responsible for activity under your account.

Laddro grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the service for your own job seeking and career purposes.

You must not:

  • Upload or publish anything unlawful, misleading, threatening, defamatory, obscene, or infringing on somebody else's rights.
  • Upload images of other people without their agreement, or any image that is offensive or unlawful.
  • Impersonate another person, including by claiming an online resume handle in their name.
  • Publish another person's personal data through Laddro without a lawful basis for doing so.
  • Upload malicious code, attempt to reach accounts or systems that are not yours, or interfere with the service or its infrastructure.
  • Scrape or crawl the service by automated means, other than through the public API within its limits.
  • Use the service to generate content for unlawful activity, harassment or discrimination.
  • Resell, sublicense or commercially exploit the service without our written agreement.
  • Misuse the contact form, review links or the community feed to send unsolicited commercial messages.

We may investigate and, where warranted, suspend or close an account, or take down published content, for a breach of this section.

You keep ownership of everything you create, upload or enter: resumes, cover letters, photos, job application records, online resumes, community posts and everything else ("your content"). You are responsible for its accuracy and legality.

You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty free licence to store, process, display, reproduce and transmit your content strictly in order to run the service for you. That covers storing your documents, generating PDFs, sending content to AI providers when you use an AI feature, serving your online resume to visitors when you publish it, and returning your data through the API when you ask for it. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, subject to the retention periods in the Privacy Policy.

We do not use your content for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not use it to train AI models.

The service itself, including its design, software, templates, branding and content other than yours, belongs to Laddro and its licensors, and is protected by copyright, trade mark and other laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell or build derivative works from it without our written agreement.

Laddro uses AI models operated by third parties to tailor resumes, generate cover letters, improve text, suggest skills, give feedback, parse uploaded documents and generate LinkedIn profile text. AI output is provided as is.

We do not warrant that AI output is accurate, complete or suitable for any purpose. It can contain factual errors and can describe your experience wrongly.

You are responsible for reading and checking everything an AI feature produces before you use it, and for making sure that anything you send to an employer is truthful and does not misrepresent you. We are not liable for the consequences of using AI generated content, including an unsuccessful application or a claim that you misrepresented yourself.

An online resume publishes a resume from your account as a web page at www.laddro.com/r/{handle}.

You decide what becomes public. A new online resume is a draft and is not reachable by anyone else. You choose whether it is unlisted, password protected or public, and separately whether search engines may index it. Search indexing is off unless you turn it on.

You are responsible for what you publish. That includes personal data about other people, such as referees and former colleagues. Only publish it where you have a lawful basis, and remove it on request.

Handles. Handles are first come, first served. You may not claim a handle in order to impersonate a person or organisation, to pass yourself off as somebody else, or to sell it on. We may reclaim a handle that infringes a trade mark, impersonates somebody, or has been claimed abusively, and will tell you when we do.

Contact form and review links. The contact form and review links exist so that people can reach you or give you feedback. Do not use them, or invite others to use them, for unsolicited commercial messages. We may switch off the contact form on a page that is being used to send spam.

Reviewers. If you leave a comment on somebody else's online resume through a review link, the owner sees your comment together with the name and email address you provide. Comment in good faith.

Taking a page down. You can change visibility or disable a page at any time. We may take down a published page that breaches these Terms. Once a page has been public, search engines and other third parties may hold copies we cannot reach or delete.

Posts in the community feed appear to other signed in users under a stable pseudonymous handle rather than your name. You are responsible for what you post. Do not post another person's personal data, unlawful or abusive content, or advertising. We may remove a post or withdraw access to the feed for a breach of this section. If you attach a link to your published online resume, everyone who sees the post can open it.

Some actions consume credits. Others are included with a subscription.

Action Cost
Tailoring a resume to a job 1 credit
Resume feedback 1 credit
Generating a cover letter 1 credit
Improving a piece of text 1 credit
Parsing an uploaded resume 1 credit
Generating a LinkedIn profile 1 credit
Downloading a resume, a cover letter or a presentation Unlimited with a subscription. 1 credit without one
Skill suggestions Unlimited with a subscription. 1 credit without one

Subscribers draw on their monthly allowance first. Everyone else draws on the balance from their credit packs. Current prices are shown before you pay.

Every account that has never subscribed gets one free download, once. It is a single download shared across resumes, cover letters and presentations: if you spend it on a resume, you do not also get a free cover letter. Downloading the same document again after editing it is charged normally.

Credit packs are a one time purchase of 10, 30 or 80 credits. Credits are consumed when you use a paid action. They are not refundable once used, except where the law requires otherwise.

Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. Weekly, two weekly and monthly plans are sold on the web through Stripe. Quarterly and yearly plans are sold only inside our iOS application, through Apple.

You may cancel at any time in your account settings, or through your Apple subscription settings for a plan bought in the iOS application. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and you keep access until then.

Payments made on the web are processed by Stripe Payments Europe Ltd, under Stripe's terms and privacy policy. We do not store your card number.

Purchases made inside the iOS application are processed by Apple under Apple's own terms. For those purchases Apple is the seller, Apple holds your payment details, and refunds are requested from Apple, not from us. We can see only that a purchase was made and which product it was.

If you are a consumer in the European Union you have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase of digital content without giving a reason.

Because credits and downloads are made available to you immediately, we ask you to confirm at checkout that you want us to start straight away and that you understand you lose the right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed. For credits, that means once a credit has been used. For a subscription, it means at the end of the period. Where the service has not been performed, you may still withdraw within 14 days.

We may change prices. For a live subscription we give at least 30 days' notice by email or in the application, and the new price applies from the billing period after that notice. If you do not want to continue at the new price, cancel before it takes effect. Prices for plans sold through Apple are managed in the App Store and Apple will ask for your agreement where its rules require it.

Stripe ties each customer to one currency at their first successful payment, so the first currency you pay in is the currency we can charge you in afterwards. Your billing pages show it. If you need it changed, write to [email protected].

If you use the public API or connect an outside AI assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT to your Laddro account:

  • You are responsible for keeping API keys secret, and for revoking a key you think has been exposed.
  • You must stay within the rate limits and usage rules we publish.
  • When you authorise an assistant, you are instructing us to give that assistant access to the Laddro data covered by the scopes you granted, which includes your resumes and cover letters. What the assistant's operator then does with that data is governed by their terms and their privacy policy, not ours. Please read them before you connect.
  • You can revoke a connection at any time in your account, which ends further access.
  • We may change, deprecate or withdraw API endpoints, with reasonable notice where that is practical.

We may run a referral programme. The rewards and rules are described inside the service and can change. Share referral links only with people happy to receive them. Do not use automated distribution, paid advertising unless we allow it, or fake accounts. We may withdraw rewards obtained through abuse, and may change or end the programme.

You can close your account at any time from your account settings, or by writing to [email protected]. Deletion runs after a one hour grace period, during which we email you a link to cancel it. After that your account and the data attached to it are deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or close your account, without notice where the circumstances require it, if you breach these Terms, if your conduct puts other users or the service at risk, if the law requires it, or if we withdraw the service.

Your right to use the service ends. Any amount you already owe remains payable. Sections 6, 7, 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18 survive.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS, THAT IT WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE OR ERROR FREE, THAT AI OUTPUT WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE, OR THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.

Nothing here excludes or limits anything that cannot be excluded or limited under the law that applies to you, including European Union and German consumer protection law.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LADDRO AND ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, PARTNERS AND SUPPLIERS ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, USE OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, FROM ANY AI GENERATED CONTENT, FROM CONTENT PUBLISHED THROUGH AN ONLINE RESUME OR THE COMMUNITY FEED, FROM UNAUTHORISED ACCESS TO YOUR DATA, OR FROM ANYTHING ELSE RELATING TO THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS UNDER OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF ONE HUNDRED EUROS (€100) AND THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT THAT GAVE RISE TO THE CLAIM.

This limitation does not apply to liability that cannot be limited under the law, including liability for intent (Vorsatz) or gross negligence (grobe Fahrlässigkeit) under German law, liability for injury to life, body or health, or liability under the German Product Liability Act.

You agree to hold us harmless from claims, liabilities, damages, losses and reasonable legal costs arising from your use of the service, from your content, from anything you publish through an online resume or the community feed, from your breach of these Terms or of any law, and from your use or distribution of AI generated content.

This section does not apply to consumers to the extent that consumer protection law, including the German rules on standard business terms in Sections 305 to 310 BGB, does not permit it.

These Terms are governed by the law of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding its conflict of law rules and excluding the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.

The courts of Berlin have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer rule that lets you bring proceedings where you live.

If you are a consumer in the European Union you may use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We are not obliged to take part in proceedings before a consumer arbitration body, and generally do not, unless the law requires it.

Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about the service and replace anything said before.

Severability. If a provision is invalid, the rest stands, and the invalid provision is treated as modified only as far as needed to make it valid.

No waiver. If we do not enforce a right, we have not waived it. A waiver is only effective in writing from us.

Assignment. You may not transfer your rights or obligations without our written agreement. We may transfer ours, for example in a reorganisation or a sale of the business, and will tell you if we do.

Force majeure. We are not liable for a failure or delay caused by something outside our reasonable control, including natural events, war, pandemic, government action, power failure, network failure or a third party outage.

We may change these Terms. For a material change we give at least 30 days' notice by email or in the application before the new version applies. Continuing to use Laddro after that date means you accept it. If you do not accept it, stop using Laddro and close your account under Section 13.1.
