Junior Fleet Coordinator Resume Example

Overview

Fleet coordination roles require a mix of logistics knowledge, attention to detail, and communication skills. Companies running vehicle fleets need people who can schedule routes, manage compliance, and keep drivers on track. For graduates, practical placement experience at a logistics company is the strongest thing you can put on your resume.

This resume belongs to Amy Collins, a Logistics graduate from the University of Huddersfield. She completed a placement at XPO Logistics managing the daily scheduling of 35 vehicles and reduced late deliveries by 18%. Her resume works because it demonstrates operational impact on a real fleet operation.

What Makes This Resume Work

Fleet size and driver numbers give scale. Managing 35 vehicles and 45 drivers tells a hiring manager exactly what Amy can handle. Reducing late deliveries by 18% connects her work to a KPI that every fleet manager cares about.

Compliance management is prominent. Tracking MOT, service, and tachograph compliance for 35 vehicles shows Amy understands the regulatory side of fleet management. This is often the most critical responsibility in a fleet coordinator role.

Warehouse experience adds supply chain breadth. Working at Amazon's fulfilment centre and exceeding picking targets shows Amy understands the wider supply chain context in which fleet operations sit. This broader perspective is valuable for logistics employers.

Key Takeaways

For fleet coordination roles, count the vehicles managed, drivers coordinated, and any delivery performance improvements you achieved. Include compliance management experience and name the routing or transport management software you have used. CILT student membership and an IOSH qualification are good credentials for demonstrating professional commitment and safety awareness.
